Garden Diary: What’s Bloomin’

It has been hot as the blazes this week. It was 97° for the last two days and we just touched 90° today.  I wilted but the flowers seemed to do okay.

Purple Coneflower

Astilbe

Daylily

Shasta Daisy (Crazy Daisy var.)

Daylily

Trumpet Vine (This is the tree-like one I got from Trish. The vine-like ones I got from Glory aren’t blooming yet.)

  1. Trish says:

Wow! Beautiful in all this muggy heat. Love the crazy daisies.
I recognized the trumpet vine! Looks just like mine.

  2. authormjlogan says:

Most summer flowers never seem to mind the heat unless you forget to water them.

  3. The reason they’re surviving is because they’re such COOL flowers ! Great pics, Julie! I’ve never seen that specific trumpet flower. Thank you for sharing! ~R
